Is Impress right for my project?

Great question. We’ve found that our Impress format isn’t for everyone. Impress is ideal for the following types of projects:

  • Launch a business
  • Drive app downloads
  • Take pre-orders
  • Promote a new product
  • Generate sign-ups
  • Sell your book

If your project falls outside one of these goals it doesn’t mean we can’t build an Impress for you; but there are some projects that require something other than Impress. This fit isn’t a qualitative reflection of your project, it’s more of a technical and logistical issue of working within the Impress delivery process.

I want the best colors and fonts for the best conversion rates, period! Can you guys do that?

If you’re only looking for the best colors and fonts to push conversions, Impress may not be your cup of tea. Unfortunately, the most beautifully designed sites do not always provide the highest conversion rates. On the other hand, a well designed site provides the user with a sense of trust and security. (ie. this is not a “Sideshow Bob” dog-and-pony-show, these guys are the real deal!) Impress is a happy medium between design and performance. Impress offers a directed user experience similar to a landing page but with story-driven design and interactions that deliver more information and create an emotional brand connection.

2 weeks! That’s fast! Is it two weeks from the time I make my deposit?

Not quite. We need some information from you first. In order to provide custom design within two weeks we’ve created a highly streamlined process. That process starts with an extensive questionnaire to help us understand your project better. It’s the self-service version of the full design agency discovery process. You’ll need to complete it in order to get the ball rolling.

Once we review your questionnaire, we’ll evaluate the project to see if it’s a good fit for Impress. We also need all copy and assets (images, logos, etc.) for the site and signed client agreement and payment before we do our initial kickoff call. The clock starts as soon as that kickoff call is complete. A straightforward Impress project takes approximately 14 days to complete.

Will you connect it to my existing site?

Integration is not part of the Impress package. We deliver final files that you can use to deploy your Impress site, but its up to you to deploy and connect them. Impress services are limited to design and front-end development.

How will my site be delivered?

We deliver layered PSD’s and HTML/CSS/JS files.

Do you offer hosting for my Impress site?

We don’t offer hosting, but we do recommend MediaTemple.

How is my website going to be “smarter”?

We load up your site with analytics to provide actionable insights. We also offer a 30 day check in to suggest ways your site can evolve to improve performance.

Can I include a video?

Yes, but it needs to be hosted somewhere else (YouTube, Vimeo).

Can I include images?

Yes, you can have many images, even a slider full of them.

Will you provide the copy?

You provide all copy. We’re happy to help make suggestions to best fit your Impress site if need be. We won’t write it for you.

Can I have a form to collect information?

Yes. You will need to provide your own lead collection backend. Your Impress can have a great looking form, but when you click the “Submit” button, it won’t go anywhere. You will need to connect it to something (MailChimp, Wufoo, etc.) to collect the submissions. This is not included as part of the Impress service.

Impress is Pageless? What do you mean?

Each Impress is one long scrolling page, top to bottom. There aren’t any extra pages or navigation. Impress is a concise, interactive, compelling story told through fantastic design in a seamless, single page layout.
